Shailan Probeen Nibash (Zakat Eligible)
Shailan Probeen Nibash (SPN) is a volunteer project aiming at establishing and maintaining a Home for the destitute senior citizens of Bangladesh, who are unable to fend for themselves and who have no one to look after or who are viewed as burdens by their immediate family members resulting in inhuman neglect.
As part of the project a four-storied multi-block building has already been constructed in Shailan village located in Dhamrai, Dhaka. At full capacity this home can house up to 80 guests (4 persons in each room) in two different blocks for Men and Women separately.
The facilities to be provided for the elderly includes furnished accommodation, food (3 daily meals and two snacks), clothing, medicine, routinely medical check-up completely free of cost to the residents. Additional facilities include a small library, entertainment hall room, gardening and cultivation opportunities etc. One resident superintend has already been hired who will supervise the day to day activities and overall well being of the residents.
Please extend your generous help towards SPN by Sponsoring its Guests. Currently the facility hosts 38 Elderly destitute people.
